Today, I’m blogging to a Jill Scott station on Pandora. The selection is “American Boy” by Estelle feat. Kanye West. It’s kind of ’80’s trippy. I’m not a fan, so fast-forward it is. Give me old-school hip-hop or the Roots over this.
Eventful day. First, both of our websites, www.greatnationpublishing.com and www.thelosttestament.com went live. Excuse the bugs. I’ve got a REALLY common name, so reserving my name as a .com is out of the question, unless I use my middle name (not happening) or change my name (also not happening). So, you’ve got a splash page for the business itself and a fully-functional website for the book. WheI release The Revelation Gate next year, I’ll slide most of the features of The Lost Testament over to the splash page, which will no longer be a splash page, and figure out what I’m going to do about an author page. I have a friend who uses a pseudonym, but I’ve never been a fan of those either. I like seeing my name in print.
Next, the proof came in. Found one spelling error, which I hope won’t throw a hitch into production. It’s not a mistake anyone but me and someone scanning the text for a mistake would find, and trust me, you’d REALLY have to look for it, but if you’re going to pay for something to be done, get it done right the first time.
Publicist sent me a marketing plan. If I do this right and in God’s will, you’ll be hearing about me soon. . .
